'Tell My Father' about new CD from Mansfield choir
Just weeks after its release, Tell My Father, the new CD by the Mansfield & District Male Voice Choir, is proving popular with audiences attending the choir's autumn concerts.
The recording, priced at £10, celebrates the choir's heritage while showcasing the quality and versatility of today's membership under musical director Ian Grice.

As Christmas approaches, the choir is encouraging local music lovers to consider Tell My Father as an ideal festive gift.
The professionally-recorded album features 17 tracks celebrating the rich tradition of male voice singing while honouring the mining heritage that has shaped generations of local families.
Since its release last month, the CD has received an enthusiastic response from audiences attending the choir's concerts, with many praising both the quality of the recording and the varied programme of music.
The choir continues its busy schedule of performances with concerts including:
- Autumnal concert at All Saints Church in Annesley on November 14
- Concert including Christmas at The Hill Methodist Church in Kirkby on December 5
- Informal sing and afterglow at The Cooper’s pub, Mansfield Woodhouse on December 12
- Christmas at Forest Town Arena in Mansfield on December 17
Copies of Tell My Father will be available before and after every performance and from Eileen Lawrence on 01623 455373 and Geoff Mansfield on 07923 423447.
The choir hopes the recording will not only provide lasting enjoyment but also help preserve the musical heritage of one of Nottinghamshire's oldest community choirs, with more than 80 years of history and more than 60 former choristers having worn the choir's blazer over the years.
The choir looks forward to welcoming audiences to its forthcoming concerts as the festive season begins.
