Warsop Health Hub celebrating huge social value contribution to local community
Warsop Health Hub on Carr Lane has generated more than £1.4 million in social value during its first two years of operation, highlighting the positive impact the hub is having on the health and wellbeing of residents.
Social value measures the wider benefits people gain from being physically active and socially connected through community facilities, including improvements to physical and mental wellbeing, a reduced risk of developing certain health conditions and increased social connections.
The latest data shows the hub generated £671,421 between August 2024 and July 2025, rising to £733,195 between August 2025 and July 2026, representing a 9.2 per cent increase year-on-year. Some of the most significant impacts were linked to health indicators including Type 2 diabetes and depression.
Programmes such as the Healthy life Exercise Referral Scheme have helped residents become more active and improve their wellbeing, while group sessions have provided opportunities to stay connected. The hub also works alongside local partners such as Vibrant Warsop via initiatives like Small Steps to Feeling Great.

Matt Hancock, contract manager for Leisure Solutions Community Trust, which operates the venue in partnership with Serco Leisure, said: “The data highlights the value of creating opportunities for people to be active and connected within their local community. We know that regular physical activity can have a positive impact on both physical and mental wellbeing.”
Coun Andy Burgin, portfolio holder for environment and leisure at Mansfield District Council, said: “These figures clearly demonstrate the difference Warsop Health Hub is making to people’s lives. Generating more than £1.4 million in social value in just two years is a fantastic achievement.”
