There were no treats to be enjoyed for the Stags fans during this Halloween derby day fixture.
A flat-looking Mansfield Town performance ended in their first league defeat at the One Call Stadium since February, sending Notts County home with the bragging rights.
It was the first Nottinghamshire Derby since 2024 and a big win for the Magpies, who had lost their last six league visits to Mansfield.
The result ends Stags’ unbeaten run and provides a lot of food for thought ahead of their away trip to Wigan next week.

Was involved in a lot of Stags' creativity as he pushed to make things happen in the first half. Fired some good crosses into the box but they didn't bear fruit as the end product of the attack failed to trouble the goalkeeper. Photo: UGC

Made his first start and certainly couldn't be criticised for lack of effort. Looked sharp at times to spark an attack, working hard both out wide and centrally. Covered a lot of ground chasing balls and overall put in a shift of hard work but just didn't look like making much happen in the end. Won multiple fouls for Stags and did well to keep pushing on despite being clattered multiple times. Photo: UGC

11. Michael Smith
Came close to scoring a couple of times but his missed chances summed up Stags' afternoon, where nothing seemed to go their way for long enough. Had a great chance on 32 minutes with a diving header but sent it wide. Had another attempt a few minutes later as he did well to shrug off his man but couldn't find the net. Put in a typical performance but just couldn't make anything happen. Photo: Mansfield Town

Came on to try and kick the attack into gear but was unable to make anything happen. Didn't register any shots as Stags struggled overall and faded during the second half. Photo: UGC
