There were no treats to be enjoyed for the Stags fans during this Halloween derby day fixture.
A flat-looking Mansfield Town performance ended in their first league defeat at the One Call Stadium since February, sending Notts County home with the bragging rights.
It was the first Nottinghamshire Derby since 2024 and a big win for the Magpies, who had lost their last six league visits to Mansfield.
The result ends Stags’ unbeaten run and provides a lot of food for thought ahead of their away trip to Wigan next week.

5. Nathan Moriah-Welsh
Didn't look his usual full attacking self but did try to pull strings down the right. Attempted some good crosses into the box and hit a great long ball deep into the first half, but Tyler Roberts couldn't convert it. Had a good chance in the second half as he snatched up a loose ball but no one was in the box to receive his cross. There were some sticky spells across the midfield as a whole where chances were struggling to emerge, communication as a whole didn't seem up to scratch. Photo: UGC

6. Louis Reed
A disappointing afternoon by Reed's usual standard. Looked to be another typical solid performance from him in midfield as he threw himself into every challenge and kept running into situations to break up play. However, he was beaten for the first goal and at fault for the second as his misplaced pass fell straight into the attacking line. It certainly wasn't the usual calm and confident display from Reed - he was part of an overall frustrating midfield that just couldn't seem to get going. Photo: UGC

7. Jon Russell
Looked strong in flashes in the first half but fell off as the game went on and County put the pressure on. The threat of the Magpies seemed to weigh heavy on a lot of the players today as their performances faded. Russell had a big shot on target in the 22nd minute but couldn't bury the chance. 8. Regan Hendry
Put in a shift in midfield both creatively and defensively. Completed some good moves to break up play and send Stags on the counter, was strong at winning balls and nicking chances back off the feet of County players. Unfortunately, play overall at times across the whole midfield looked flat and loose and there was a lot of sloppy play, particularly misplaced passes. Photo: UGC
