Patchills Pantry, based at The Patchills Centre, off Eakring Road, provides affordable meals on wheels to elderly and vulnerable members of the community.
And James Perry, owner and director, said, thanks to ‘generous’ donations and an ‘influx of support’ from businesses, it can now donate more than 100 additional dinners for Christmas.

Those identified as needing a helping hand – through Facebook messages and calls – will receive a dinner this weekend.
Mr Perry said: “We’ve been open as a business for 18 months, but haven’t really put ourselves out there as we have been busy supporting our regulars.
“However, due to generous donations from supporters and businesses, we have been able to fund an additional 130 meals which can go to members of the community this Christmas who may be struggling.

“Fundraising came from networking with a few businesses at Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 network and Mansfield rotary club got involved too.
“Donations were also made by Plastek UK in Forest Town and a fantastic 70 meals are down to donations made by Meg Systems.
“It feels amazing to be able to deliver this over Christmas – working with our supporters and partners.
