Hetty's is a charity founded in 1996 by a group of mums who were all experiencing the loss of a loved one from addiction.
The Mansfield team will be moving from their Woodhouse Road premises to an undisclosed location in Mansfield Woodhouse.

Hide AdHetty’s has served the community for more than two decades and staff and volunteers are “excited” to integrate further into the community by moving to its ‘forever home’ in Mansfield Woodhouse.

The service currently supports 250 families each month – with 80 per cent of the work delivered to families affected by drug and alcohol misuse being alcohol-related.
Debbie Knowles, Hetty’s Chief Executive, said: “We are hoping to complete the contract and get the keys in early January and that’s when we can share where our new premises will be located.
“We would like to put a plea out there for help, as we are looking for decorators and painters before we look at getting carpets, furniture or IT equipment in the building.

“We want to reduce that stigma and myth around addiction and involve the community in Hetty’s future.
“We have been lucky with getting funds in, through applications, fundraising, and donations – we have covered a lot of the costs to purchase the building.
“And now, we just need all hands on deck with painting, decorating, garden services, kitchen fitters, and roofers – whatever your profession or background, all help is needed.

“But before we can look ahead at moving in and opening for the community, we need to focus on decorating as our first priority as it is quite a substantial-sized building.”
Painters and decorators are needed from January 4-8 at the charity’s new premises.
