Long trips to Stevenage and Plymouth earlier in the week caught up with Nigel Clough’s men, but in awful chilly conditions of strong wind and heavy rain against a good Wycombe side, they dug deep and ensured their unbeaten run was stretched to eight games on an afternoon of almost no chances at either end.
Here are our player ratings from the game . . .
9. JON RUSSELL 7
Another player trying to get his fitness up to scratch, but again showed tantalising glimpses of what he can do. Replaced by Moriah-Welsh (7) on 72 minutes, who gve an industrious cameo but was unable to unlock the Chairboys' defence Photo: Chris Holloway
10. WILL EVANS 6
Worked hard but few chances to threaten. Fired one chance over and had a half chance near the end but could not steer on target. Photo: Chris Holloway
11. OLIVER IROW 6
Had one good shot in the first half but few chances to impress and was replaced at the interval by Oates (7). Photo: Chris Holloway
12. LUKE BOLTON 6
An interval replacement for Hewitt, his fitness is improving after injury. Got into some promising positions without an end delivery and his loose pass gifted Morley a chance that he only missed by inches. Put in a threatening late cross for Adeboyejo, just too high to reach. Photo: Chris Holloway
