Long trips to Stevenage and Plymouth earlier in the week caught up with Nigel Clough’s men, but in awful chilly conditions of strong wind and heavy rain against a good Wycombe side, they dug deep and ensured their unbeaten run was stretched to eight games on an afternoon of almost no chances at either end.
Here are our player ratings from the game . . .
13. RHYS OATES 7
On for Irow at half-time, Oates was largely well marshalled by Wycombe but at least forced a save from the keeper. He over-ran the ball on his best run of the game and also saw a shot on the turn deflect wide. Photo: Chris Holloway
14. STEPHEN McLAUGHLIN 7
Half-time sub for Cargilll. Worked hard defending and going forward. Solid and reliable as always. Photo: Chris Holloway
