Long trips to Stevenage and Plymouth earlier in the week caught up with Nigel Clough’s men, but in awful chilly conditions of strong wind and heavy rain against a good Wycombe side, they dug deep and ensured their unbeaten run was stretched to eight games on an afternoon of almost no chances at either end.
Here are our player ratings from the game . . .
5. RYAN SWEENEY 8
The skipper was rock solid once again and made a great solo run forward near the end as he tried to make things happen before firing over. Photo: Naomi Baker
6. FRAZER BLAKE-TRACY 7
Did a good job defensively amid the formation switches as he regains full fitness. Photo: Alex Livesey
7. AARON LEWIS 6
Worked hard but a lot of a turgid game flew over him. Photo: Chris Holloway
8. REGAN HENDRY 6
Getting fitter and starting to look the part again. Was fortunate Wycombe did not punish him a for giving away a central free kick on the edge of the box, the wall coming to the rescue. Replaced by Adeboyejo (6) on 78 minutes. Adeboyejo did not get many touches in a short cameo and was unfortunate that a late Bolton cross was inches too high for him to grab a winner.
