Long trips to Stevenage and Plymouth earlier in the week caught up with Nigel Clough’s men, but in awful chilly conditions of strong wind and heavy rain against a good Wycombe side, they dug deep and ensured their unbeaten run was stretched to eight games on an afternoon of almost no chances at either end.
Here are our player ratings from the game . . .
1. LIAM ROBERTS 8
Another quality display on an afternoon when he had little to do so had to keep his concentration. Handled well, was well placed for routine work and, in that one major moment, saved Stags from defeat with a superb save from a fantastic shot from Caolan Boyd-Munce. Photo: Leila Coker
2. ELLIOTT HEWITT 7
Got forward well and looks to be starting to get himself match fit but suffered pain in his hips and had to come off at half-time. Photo: Mike Hewitt
3. DEJI OSHILAJA 7
Solid overall as full back or centre half as the formation fluctuated. Made one awful pass that gave Wycombe a sniff but then got back to block and make amends. Photo: Chris Holloway
4. BAILY CARGILL 7
Another good display and set up Irow for Stags' only first half chance with another of his accurate forward passes. Felt his groin late on and did not come back out for the second half. Photo: Chris Holloway
