Mansfield Town’s opening Carabao Cup clash against Sheffield United will be shown live on TV this weekend.

Stags will kickstart their Cup campaign against the Blades on Sunday, before the 2026/27 League One season gets underway. They will host the Championship side at the One Call Stadium before their first league home match against Doncaster Rovers.

Mansfield Town made it to the second round of the Carabao Cup last season before being knocked out by Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. They beat bitter rivals Chesterfield 2-0 prior to that in the first round.

Sunday’s clash will give fans the first proper taste of Nigel Clough’s side following pre-season preparations. Over the summer, Stags won and lost two of their friendly fixtures. They have also strengthened their squad ranks significantly, with Liam Thompson the latest new signing to arrive at the club.
