Eastwood Volunteer Bureau (EVB) will raise funds from the sale of tickets to the event, as well as a charity raffle with some brilliant prizes donated by The Boots Company and other local businesses.

The football club has also kindly donated The Venue for the event and refreshments will be available from the bar.

Rachel Laurenson, EVB manager, said: “It’s not too late to get a ticket or just pay on the night at the venue.

"We hope as many people as possible attend as due to issues with our current base"

The EVB and food bank were operating out of the Eastwood Library building on Wellington Place but had to leave when the building was closed for repairs.

Although the library element has now reopened, the EVB office remains closed while the food bank is operating from container units at the back of the building.

Coun James Walker-Gurley (Ref), county councillor for Eastwood, posting on Facebook, said options for finding EVB a new temporary home were being looked at, including Durban House as well as discussions around the proposed new health and wellbeing hub.

Ms Laurenson continued: “We are without an office at the moment so we need to raise funds to keep our vital services going.

"If we have to move it could prove costly so every penny counts, which is why we need people’s support for this fashion show.

"The show will provide a unique and memorable shopping experience.

“The clothing is modelled by real women – volunteers from the audience – which makes the whole experience more fun.

“The clothes are then available to purchase.”

Tickets are just £5 and the night will feature the latest in ladies high street fashion at a fraction of the usual price from a host of high street brands, including Marks & Spencer, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Dash, River Island, New Look, Planet, Next, Asos, Monsoon, Topshop, and Evans, as well as boutiques in France and Italy.

Tickets are available from the EVB food bank container units in the car park at Wellington Place on Tuesday between 9am and 12noon or Friday between 9am and 11am or on 01773 535255.
