Ollerton burglary suspect caught by police officers after jumping out of window
Police officers made an arrest after catching an Ollerton burglary suspect, quite literally, after he jumped out of a window.
Police were called to an empty house in Ollerton after reports that a break-in was in progress there.
Officers heard loud banging coming from inside the vacant property when they arrived at the address in Stepnall Heights, Boughton at around 3.25am on Monday (October 19).
After entering the property police immediately spotted that lengths of copper piping appeared to have been cut from the radiators.

While the officers inside didn't find anyone, police waiting outside got a surprise when they saw a man falling towards them from above.
Having leapt out of a second-floor window, the individual landed straight into the arms of the waiting officers below.
Police also discovered a set of bolt croppers and more lengths of copper piping on the floor during further searches of the empty house.
Officers arrested the 38-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
Sergeant Steve Pridmore, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Having heard a break-in was in progress at an empty house, the response team made their way straight there.
"While nobody was located within the property, officers outside were in the right place at the right time to – quite literally – catch a suspect.
"That's after they jumped out of a window from above and inadvertently landed straight in the arms of the officers below.
"Our hope is that the rapid arrest made in this case illustrates to the public just how seriously we take all offences of this nature."
