Covid 19 vaccination bus makes return visit to Mansfield

The bus retruns to Mansfield today (Friday, May 7) to offer the COVID-19 jab to people in hard to reach communities in and around the district.
Mansfield District Council says the bus is helping to get the vaccination rolled out to ‘areas where take up has been lower.’

Hide AdThe bus will be stopping in the Wood Street area of Mansfield from 1pm to 4pm.
Anyone who wants to get a vaccination is being invited to head over to Community House, the Mansfield CVS building, where they will be directed to the bus location.NHS staff have teamed up with Mansfield District Council, along with various local voluntary and community organisations, to help bring the mobile vaccination bus service back to the district.
Anyone who lives or works in the Wood Street or Layton Burroughs area and are eligible for a vaccination are now being asked hop aboard. No appointment is needed and an NHS staffed team will be available to administer the vaccine there and then.
A spokesperson for Mansfield District Council said:
“Anyone who is currently eligible for vaccination including those aged 40 or over, or who are clinically vulnerable, carers or a frontline health and social care. Every dose helps to Keep Mansfield Safe so why not join the millions of people that have safely received their Covid jab?”
