Eleven major resurfacing schemes will take place in the area through November.

They include the A608 Cordy Lane in Underwood, the B600 Alfreton Road, Nottingham, the B6020 Chapel Street and B6020 Lane End/Urban Road in Kirkby, the B6033 Bath Lane/Ravensdale Road in Mansfield and the B6035 Sherwood Street in Market Warsop.

Coun Bert Bingham, Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment at Nottinghamshire County Council, said, "As we head into winter, we remain focused on keeping the county moving safely and reliably through all weather conditions.

“Repairs and improvements will continue throughout the season, with up to 50 highway maintenance teams operating across Nottinghamshire at peak times, delivering permanent first-time repairs wherever possible, alongside resurfacing, patching and other preventative treatments.

"While there is always more to do, the scale of work being delivered demonstrates our commitment to improving the condition of the highway network and tackling the issues that matter most to local communities.”

More than 450 carriageway resurfacing and treatment schemes have been scheduled for delivery this year and October marked a significant milestone with the completion of the county's 250th surfacing scheme of the 26/27 financial year.
