Hoods go seven points clear at the top
Leaders Ollerton bag win on return to home soil
Ollerton Hoods played host to Grimsby 2nds in the NLD North East Merit League and won 27--5.
This was the Hoods first home game this season after several away games. The win keeps Ollerton seven points clear at the top.
Grimsby came with a strong squad and played good rugby. It was close at half-time with Grimsby scoring a fine try and Ollerton's captain, Jake Brennan, sin-binned for ‘over zealous play’.
But the Hoods had the edge and ran in five tries through Danny Rich, Braiden Lee, Kingdavid Kayode, Jonny Brannan and David Wilson.
