Care group launches community fund to help good causes in Mansfield and Ashfield
New fund aims to help good causes around Mansfield and Ashfield
Care group Lidder Care has announced the launch of a new commuty fund scheme aimed at supporting good causes around Mansfield, Ashfield and the surrounding area.

The Lidder Care Community Fund will support a broad range of grassroots initiatives, including local charities, sports clubs, schools, youth groups and organisations supporting older people and families.
Funding will come from contributions made by Lidder Care alongside money raised through fundraising activities involving its care services and wider community.
Manjas Lidder, Managing Director of Lidder Care, said: "As a family-owned care group with over 30 years of experience supporting people across Mansfield and Ashfield, we have always recognised the importance of giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years.
“The Lidder Care Community Fund is an opportunity for us to build on that commitment by supporting local charities, community groups and organisations that make a real difference to people's lives.
"We hope this fund will continue to grow and enable us to make a positive and lasting contribution to our local communities."
The first organisation to benefit from the fund will be Parky Players, a Mansfield-based not-for-profit theatre and arts group dedicated to raising awareness of Parkinson's disease through performance and creative expression.
Janet Shipton, Founder of Parky Players, said: “Parky Players are extremely grateful for the donation from Lidder Care. This will help us continue our work using theatre and the arts to raise awareness of Parkinson’s and reduce the stigma and misunderstanding often faced by those with the condition.”
Lidder Care has been serving individuals across Mansfield and Ashfield for more than 30 years and Newgate Lodge Care Home in Mansfield and Lowmoor Nursing Home in Kirkby.
