Tickets still available to watch Mansfield Town vs Notts County in the Women's County Cup Final at the One Call Stadium
Mansfield Town Ladies are preparing for a blockbuster showdown against rivals Notts County Ladies in the Nottinghamshire Women’s County Cup Final.
Mansfield Town will host Notts County at the One Call Stadium this week as they fight to retain the Nottinghamshire Women’s County Cup title. The club confirmed in March that the women’s team would play out their Cup showdown at the main stadium to honour the occasion, following a solid run of form in their defending campaign.
Andi Bell’s side secured their place in the final against Notts County back in February with a stunning performance against Nottingham Trent University in the semis. The girls in amber and blue treated fans to a dominant 5-0 win at RH Academy, stamping their place in another County Cup final.
Mansfield took a 4-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Megan Brierly, Ainsley Allan, Monica Bowley and Olivia Standeven, before Millie Edwards wrapped things up in the second.
Players and supporters alike will be relying on another solid display from Amy Price in between the sticks to keep Notts County at bay on the big stage. The goalkeeper was named Mansfield Town Ladies’ Player of the Season at the club’s recent end of season awards, joining Liam Roberts in the goalkeepers’ union picking up accolades.
Bell’s side will host the Nottinghamshire Women’s County Cup Final this Thursday, May 7th. Kick-off is scheduled for 7.30pm at the One Call Stadium, and here’s how you can still grab tickets.
