Two headed goals from Michael Smith followed by a second half Jon Russell strike gave Stags a big three points in London to keep their unbeaten streak in League One running.
The result was the perfect way to celebrate Nigel Clough’s special occasion as he oversaw his 275th league match with Mansfield Town, surpassing Ian Greaves’ previous record.
The win over Wimbledon puts Stags up to 10th in the League One standings and sees them now five games without defeat.
