He is up against winger Ricky Holmes (Northampton Town), whose recent return from injury has been a welcome boost at Sixfields.
Skilful, quick and always prepared to run at defenders, he provided two assists in the month as well as two goals, including a stunning volleyed winner at Dagenham & Redbridge.

His hold-up play and willingness to drag defenders out wide also impressed.
Completing the quartet of candidates is central defender Jake Wright (Oxford United) who has been outstanding as Oxford kept pace at the top of Sky Bet League Two.
Allied his captaincy role to an ability to read the game and bring the ball out of defence, he played a vital part in the 1-0 win at promotion rivals Portsmouth.
