It was a very tough selection process with many players standing out around the league in the opening months of what is shaping up to be a captivating season.
They all staked their claim, for various reasons, for a spot in my starting 11, and a good claim they had been too.
But, after much thought, I have narrowed it down to my final 11 and come up with this team, based on a 4-2-3-1 formation.
I think it’s a pretty good team, a team with defensive solidity, plenty of fair, versatility and a good smattering of goals. I think it’s one that would most likely be able to challenge for a promotion place.
Of course, ask 100 people to pick a side and 100 different teams would be chosen. You guys will no doubt think differently to how I am seeing it, but have a look at this eleven and let me know what you think.

5. Tendayi Darikwa (Lincoln City)
Darikwa has had another impressive season, using all his higher-level experience to bring reliability and solidity to the right-back spot. His commanding presence and leadership skills have been key to Lincoln's good start tp the season. Photo: Getty Images

6. Jamie McDonnell (Mansfield Town, on loan from Nottingham Forest)
McDonnell has slotted in perfectly since joining Mansfield Town on loan during the summer. He's shown a great reading of the game and become a commanding presence in the heart of the Mansfield midfield. McDonnell has been highly adept at winning the ball back and getting stuck in when needed. Mansfield are more solid and consistent this year, especially away from home, with the presence of McDonnell a big reason for that. Photo: Getty Images

7. Oliver Norwood (Stockport County)
He impressed last season and he's doing just that again this season in the heart of the County midfield. He's been there and done it at a higher level and Norwood looks like he could do it all over again if Stockport win promotion. Norwood continues to have a commanding presence, getting the nitty gritty done to get Stockport ticking and dicating the game. Photo: Getty Images

8. Bobby Pointon (Bradford City)
Pointon brings plenty of flair to Bradford City and has been a major factor in the club's good start to life in League One. He's bagged six goals in just 11 games so far this season, with his fast feet and desire to take opponents on making him a hot to handle player. Bradford's threat is certainy far less when he's not in the team. Photo: Getty Images
