Deji Oshilaja’s own gave Burton the lead after he was unlucky to turn home Charlie Webster’s cross. But the bigger headline to the goal was the shocking defending which saw Stags fail to clear their lines more than once in the build-up.
Burton double the lead in the 28th minute when Jack Armer headed home at the back post after no-one picked him up.
Michael Smith pulled on back just before the break after getting on the end of Nathan Mariah-Welsh’s superb cross.
Lucas Akins levelled the game on 70 minutes to set up a grandstand finish.

9. Regan Hendry - 6
Put a good shift in in the second half to work well with Reed in giving Masnfield a stranglehold on the game. Showed a couple of glimpses but didn't offer anywhere near enough creatively. Photo: UGC

10. Michael Smith - 7
Worked tirelessly throughout to lead the line and held the ball up well. Capped a good performance with a deserved goal. Photo: Chris & Jeanette Holloway

11. David McGoldrick - 7
If ever it wasn't his day then this was it after McGoldrick had two goals ruled out for offside and was also denied by a great save in the second half. Photo: Chris & Jeanette Holloway

12. Kyle Knoyle (came on for Hewitt at HT) - 6
Kept it solid at the right side of a central three before moving to right-back after a formation chance. Never really tested during a dominant Mansfield second half. Photo: UGC
