Harry Charsley confident Mansfield Town can hit the ground running
Stags start the League Two season at home to Tranmere Rovers with Charsley confident the new-look squad is raring to go.

Hide Ad“I think we’re expecting to hit the ground running,” he said. “We’ve been training every day and working really hard.
“Personally I feel ready to start the season. We have had a tough pre-season and the gaffer has worked us hard.
“We train with a good intensity and that makes us fitter as players. We’ve had a few games now, so hopefully we’ll start well and be able to carry that on.

Hide Ad“I want to get into the team and stay in the team, play as many games as possible and get Mansfield as high up the table as possible.”
And the former Everton youth player believes a recent team bonding trip to the Lake District will pay dividends.
“It was good to do the trip,” he said. “We needed to get to know each other a little better and get to know the new players, so I think everyone really enjoyed it.”
Mansfield play their first competitive match at the weekend at Preston in the Carabao Cup first round.
