FA Vase draw throws up local derby showdown

Blidworth Welfare, of the Central Midlands League South, were handed a tantalising home draw against neighbours AFC Mansfield, from the Northern Counties East League Premier Division when the draw was made for the second round proper of the FA Vase today.

Worksop Town were handed the longest trek of the local clubs as they head to County Durham to take on Northern League Division One club Newton Aycliffe.

Sherwood Colliery also have a trek as they head for Hereford-based Westfields, of the Midland Football League Premier Division, while Staveley MW have also been drawn away at Charnock Richard, of the West Lancashire League.

Long Eaton United will be at home to Linconshire club Holbeach United, of the United Counties League Premier Division.

Hucknall Town are also at home, their visitors will be Rocester, of the Midland Football League Premier Division.

The games will be played on Saturday, 12th November.
