It left Parry happy with the current performance levels of his side.

“It was a great performance,” he said. “The performances over the last three games have been real high quality.

“We didn't get the result against Bedford, but the performance was really good and one of the best since I have been at the club. It is good that we can take that heartache on the chin and back it up with another performance just as good.

“From minute one we were good. We ran, we worked hard and we played some good football. “We missed two sitters in the first half but in the second half we didn’t let it beat us and we tried to be positive.

“Once we got the first goal we were comfortable. It is a pleasing performance.”

The Tigers started off brightly when an early chance fell to Liam Waldock, but his shot was straight at the keeper.

A quiet period ensued with both teams failing to break the other down. That was until Aleks Starcenko breathed life back into the game as he beat his man and he whipped a fantastic ball into Ryan Viggars who headed wide.

Woskop fluffed two great chances to hit the front when Vaughan Redford and Lewis Whitham both failed to find the target with headers.

Despite the Visitors coming out in the second half strong the Tigers were able to weather the storm in the opening with Max Dearnley came up with a fantastic save to keep the game level.

But the tide started to turn and the opener came for Town thanks to a great finish from Viggars..

Minutes later a worldie of a strike from Redford comfortably put the game to bed for the Tigers when he smashed home a brilliant half volley.

The visitor’s keeper Douglass Lukjanciks provided some great saves in the closing minutes of the match to deny the Tigers a third.
