'50/50 for Saturday': Latest Mansfield Town fitness updates ahead of Huddersfield
Nigel Clough has provided the latest updates on his team’s injuries after Mansfield Town faced Bradford City last weekend.
Clough was forced into another late change ahead of the Bantams clash on Saturday as Liam Roberts was swapped out for Harry Lewis in goal during the warm-up.
Roberts had been down to start the match after missing the Reading game due to a foot injury sustained against Luton Town. However, the 31-year-old was pulled last-minute at Bradford, with his foot not feeling right.

During his mid-week press conference, Clough provided updates on his injured players and said Roberts is now ‘50/50 to play on Saturday’ against Huddersfield Town.
Stephen McLaughlin
Stephen McLaughlin was also absent against Bradford as he continues to recover from an ankle issue. The left wing-back initially dropped to the bench against Reading after picking up the injury in the warm-up at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, and was not included at all on Saturday.
“He dropped out of the Reading warm-up, it was okay but it probably wasn’t good enough to start. We’re hoping with a week’s rest he will be okay for Saturday,” Clough said.
Kyle Knoyle
Like Roberts, Kyle Knoyle’s involvement in this weekend’s action will be a coin toss situation.
The defender came off just after the hour mark against Bradford, having picked up a groin injury during his shift at Valley Parade.
“Not sure at the moment for Saturday. It was a little bit sore, you could see him limping when he came off, so he’s 50/50 at the moment,” Clough said.
Jordan Bowery
Jordan Bowery is yet to feature for the Stags’ senior team this season but he was included in Tuesday’s B Team fixture against Notts County in the Central League Cup.
Bowery was named in the starting line-up, as the plan for him was to play ‘45 or 60 minutes’ with the reserves.
“He’s coming on. Hopefully it’s not too sore and we can have him involved for next week,” Clough said of his improvement.
Baily Cargill
Clough did not directly mention Baily Cargill during the press conference but he is not expected back until after the international break.
