The county’s bid for a fifth win in eleven matches started with them in third place and 38 points behind leaders Essex.
And they look extremely well set to maintain the pressure on Essex and Somerset in second having impressed with ball during the first half of the day and then the bat.

Sandwiched in between, Olivier forced opener Jake Libby to play onto his leg stump before Notts captain Chris Nash (33) punched a return catch to fall.
