Rail services almost back to normal after bridge collapse
The partial collapse of the bridge in Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire, led to severe delays for rail travellers but Network Rail teams have worked through the night to re-open as much of the line as possible.
Here’s the latest information from East Midlands Trains.
London/Sheffield/Nottingham
All of our trains will be able to run directly between stations on our London St Pancras/Nottingham/Sheffield routes.
Leicester/Nottingham/Lincoln/Grimsby

Buses will replace these trains between East Midlands Parkway and Leicester
If you are travelling to/from Barrow upon Soar, Sileby and Syston a replacement bus service will be running from these stations. This is only for customers travelling to/from Leicester, Syston, Sileby, Barrow upon Soar and Loughborough.
If you are travelling to/from Nottingham you will need to change onto a London route train to connect with the replacement bus service to/from East Midlands Parkway.
