Prince’s Trust helps Mansfield school

A group of young people from the Prince’s Trust Team Programme have come together to help out Mansfield’s King Edwards Primary school.

The school have had a keen gardening group for several years, but due to recent building work their much loved allotment got destroyed.

The 12 young people taking part in the Team Programme, which is delivered by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, came to the rescue raising funds and then spending two weeks developing an area of grassland into a fully functioning allotment.

The Prince’s Trust Team Programme helps unemployed 16-25 year olds to move onto employment, education or training.
