Police appeal following suspected arson attack at South Normanton park

Arsonists are being hunted after a fire at the Post Mill Centre Town Park in South Normanton.

Officers say a plastic bench at the recreational ground on Market Street was set alight at around 8.30pm on Friday, July 31.

PCSO Lucy Naughton, from the South Normanton and Pinxton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We are looking to speak to anyone who may be able to aid our investigations in bringing those responsible to justice.

“If you were in the area around the time of the incident, and may have seen something out of the ordinary, please get in touch.”
