Popular Mansfield restaurant celebrates fifth anniversary

Since opening the doors and launching Ciao Bella Mansfield in August 2015, the restaurant has built a reputation for its authentic Italian cuisine and a friendly team.

The grade 2 listed building on Nottingham Road has housed many businesses over the years, but Ciao Bella owner Tamer Abouelela has worked hard to ensure the restaurant moved with the times.

Just three years after opening, Ciao Bella launched a city-style bar and lounge directly next door that continues to go from strength to strength.

Having used lockdown wisely and taking the opportunity to completely renovate the restaurant using local tradespeople and suppliers to complete the transformation, both the lounge and restaurant offer a contemporary new look with the all-important touch of cosiness for romantic nights out.

Owner Tamer Abouelela reflects on the last five years: “Our success is only possible with our community, customers and staff.

"From day one of opening I’ve always been passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and our customers always leave as a friend.

Tamer is also delighted to announce that he now owns the freehold to Ciao Bella Restaurant, Lounge and Bar and wanted to thank executive mayor Andy Abrahams and his team for their support.

He continued: "I’ve found the support encouraging and truly evident that the council has a leader that is driven to promote investment and growth in the town.

"Having spoken to other business owners in and outside the area, the funding support and guidance provided by MDC during lockdown has been the best in the country I believe.

“Ordinarily, it would be an opportunity to party and celebrate; however, considering the coronavirus situation we will celebrate behind the scenes with our staff.

"Not only thank them for the last five years, but for adapting to the new operating procedures and managing the overwhelming custom that the Eat Out campaign has had upon the restaurant and lounge.'
