The Jerry Green Nottinghamshire rescue centre, on Warsop Lane, Blidworth, was first opened in 1988 as one of the smallest centres.
Staff at the site have been rescuing and rehoming dogs in Nottinghamshire for more than 30 years.
To find out more information about the centre and dogs available for adoption, email [email protected] or call 01623 792886.
The centre is open seven days a week, from 11am-2pm, and supporters can even set up a monthly direct debit at jerrygreendogs.org.uk/donate/donate/2/direct-debit from as little as £2 a month.
Here are six dogs at the centre, looking for a similar success story to the 178 dogs who were rehomed from the Blidworth-based centre last year.

5. Dino
This is Dino, he is a five-year-old Puggle cross. He is a happy chap that enjoys being around his favourite people. He doesn't like being left on his for too long so would love his family around for most the day especially while he is settling in. He can live with another dog but not with small ones as he likes to chase them. He can live with children 11 years plus. He does have some medical problems and will need ongoing pain relief. 6. Enid
This is Enid, she is a 13-year-old Staffie. She is a sweet girl that loves her home comforts. She is currently in foster care as she does struggle being left on her own so she will need a family to be around all day, especially while she settles in. She is worried around other dogs so will need to be the only dog in the home. She can live with children over the age of 11. Enid is on medication for her arthritis. Photo: Jerry Green
