Mansfield couple launch first Halloween scarecrow trail in town
A Mansfield couple are hoping to spread some spooktacular fun across town with a Halloween themed scarecrow trail.
Bethanie and Stuart Prady decided to launch Mansfield’s first ever Halloween scarecrow trail in a bid to spread some seasonal cheer and have already attracted 1,500 to their Facebook page.
Bethanie, 35 who lives in Mansfield Town Centre said: “We decided to launch this trail as we have always seen scarecrow trails in other parts of the country and thought to ourselves I wish they did that round us, well what’s a better time to than at Halloween.
"We always do displays at our house and always commented how it makes people smile and how they always look forward to seeing it each year

“We wanted to make Mansfield spooky for the kids to enjoy finding.
“The response to the trail has been lot more than I even anticipated we currently have a Facebook group sitting just over 1500 members. People are already planning and making scarecrows to display and it’s only September.”
Residents who want to get involved should complete scarecrows by Halloween week and visit the Mansfield Halloween Scarecrow Trail Facebook page to share a photo of their scarecrow with details on where you can find it.
Bethanie added: Let’s have fun, get the kids involved, it doesn’t need to be big and fancy just a simple scarecrow that will make a kids day.”
