Nottinghamshire Derby: Match stats ahead of Mansfield Town vs Notts County, including impressive Stags run
The big day has arrived – the Nottinghamshire Derby is back.
Mansfield Town and Notts County will lock horns for the first time since 2024 this afternoon. Stags host their local rivals at the One Call Stadium, seeking a statement three points and derby day bragging rights.
Nigel Clough’s side haven’t lost on home soil since February and are six games unbeaten in League One this season. However, as stressed by Andy Garner, form can go out the window when it comes to the derby.
“The derby game takes over totally, no matter about the last couple of games we’ve played,” the Mansfield coach said ahead of the game.

Notts County manager Martin Paterson has also urged his players not to get caught up in the occasion.
Ahead of this afternoon’s clash, Opta has highlighted some key stats from the history of the Nottinghamshire Derby.
Mansfield Town have lost just one of their last 15 league games against the Magpies (W8, D6). In the last 13 of those fixtures, Stags have conceded just five goals.
Notts County have lost each of their last six league visits to Mansfield Town, stretching back to 2007. In that time, Stags scored 16 goals and the Magpies only two. Paterson’s side will be hoping to avoid another defeat at the One Call Stadium this afternoon.
Halloween fixtures have not typically ruled in Mansfield Town’s favour in recent years. Stags have failed to win any of their last six league games played on 31 October (D3, L3), since a 4-2 home win over Torquay in 1966.
Notts County will be avoiding an unwanted milestone today, as they risk matching a record last set during the 2013/14 season. That was the last time the Pies failed to win any of their first six league games away from home. They are yet to pick up a win from their five games played on the road so far this season (D3, L2).
