Eastwood FC to open new beer garden and outdoor viewing area for World Cup
Eastwood FC is preparing to open a brand new beer garden and outdoor viewing area at Coronation Park, giving the community a new place to come together ahead of England’s first World Cup fixture this month.
The new space will officially open at the club on Chewton Street when England play their first game against Croatia on Wednesday, June 17 with the match shown live on big screens.

Created as a fully designed outdoor social space, the beer garden will give local families, supporters and residents somewhere to enjoy major sporting moments, club matchdays and community events.
The opening night will feature a live DJ at the heart of the celebrations, bringing music and atmosphere to the new space, alongside food and drinks, with free entry for local residents and supporters.
The club will also show all England games throughout the World Cup, alongside as many other fixtures as possible, giving local supporters and residents a central place to watch the action together.
The beer garden has been created as a long-term addition to Coronation Park, supporting the club’s wider vision to make Eastwood FC a community hub for the town, not just a football club.
Ben Edwards, club owner and chairman, said: “We’re really excited to be opening the new beer garden in time for England’s first World Cup game.
"This has been an ambitious project for the club, but the aim has always been simple.
"We want Eastwood FC to be a place that brings people together, not just on matchdays, but throughout the week and across the summer.
"The beer garden is part of our wider vision for the club and for Coronation Park.
"We want to create a proper community hub where families, supporters and local residents feel welcome, whether they are here to watch England, support Eastwood FC, or simply spend time with friends.
"Football clubs like ours have a huge role to play in their communities.
"This is about giving Eastwood something positive, social and accessible and creating a space people can feel proud of.
"With the World Cup kicking off this summer, it felt like the perfect moment to open the doors.
"We can’t wait to welcome everyone down on June 17.”
