Ashfield council leader Jason Zadrozny guilty of fraud and income tax offences
Ashfield council leader Jason Zadrozny has been found guilty of nine fraud offences and four income tax evasion offences.
And the 46-year-old was warned by the judge that he was ‘at risk of an immediate custodial sentence’.
The jury in the council leader's trial delivered their verdict at Northampton Crown Court on Monday, September 21, after 10 hours and 47 minutes of deliberating.
Zadrozny, of Stanton Hill, was accused of setting up a fake heritage group to defraud Nottinghamshire County Council out of thousands of pounds.

The prosecution alleged that Zadrozny set up a phoney organisation called Ashfield Heritage Society and applied for £10,300 from Nottinghamshire County Council’s councillors’ divisional fund because he needed cash "in a hurry".
Zadrozny will be sentenced on November 27.
