It’s time to get out and about, and to enjoy what Mansfield, Ashfield and the rest of the county has to offer.
In our latest guide to things to do and places to go at the weekend, we’re off to the races, the circus and the theatre.
Cycle rides, ghost hunts and walks to find some of Welbeck Estate’s hidden gems are also on the agenda.
Please don’t forget to visit the individual websites of all the venues to find out about opening times and admission prices.
And also, if you know of an event that’s coming up, or a place well worth visiting one weekend, please e-mail me at [email protected] and I will try to include it in our guide.
Have a great weekend!

9. Discover fantastic scenery at Welbeck
The Welbeck Estate, near Worksop, is full of fantastic scenery and excellent attractions, all of which you can discover on its 'Hidden Gems Walk'. Starting at The Harley Gallery, the 2.5-mile route takes you to the majestic limestone gorge at Creswell Crags and the picturesque town of Holbeck. Refreshment stops include the wonderful Welbeck Farm Shop. Photo: Submitted

10. Singing and dancing in aisles
You're sure to be singing and dancing in the aisles if you're at Mansfield's Palace Theatre on Saturday night. For an up-tempo, feelgood celebration of classic pop pays tribute to the music of The Wilburys, a supergroup put together in the late 1980s and consisting of superstars Roy Orbison (pictured), Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty. Five authentic lookalikes and soundalikes stage a superb 140-minute show. Photo: Submitted
