New housing scheme is great news for first-time buyers
This is great news for first-time buyers in Ashfield.
The First Homes scheme will see a discount locked into the property for years to come.
Veterans will be prioritised as part of armed forces covenant and councils will also be able to use the scheme for front-line workers in their area such as police, nurses, prison officers and teachers.

It was also pleasing to see that the Conservatives have launched a consultation on whether to decriminalise the non-payment of the TV licence.
This consultation will ensure we have a fair and proportionate approach to licence fee penalties and payments.
