Firefighters from Mansfield Station attended an alarm sounding on Chaucer Street at 4.34pm, yesterday (May 7).

Crews carried out a thorough investigation to find it was a false alarm with an unknown cause.

In a Tweet, the fire service said: “16:34hrs crews from #MansfieldStn01 attended an alarm sounding on Chaucer Street, Mansfield.

"This was a false alarm apparatus - cause unknown. Crews carried out a full investigation.”
