The PCSO members met with Police and Crime Commissioner for Notts Police Paddy Tipping last night (Thursday 30th April) to discuss the decision.

UNISON branch secretary, Ash Morley, said: “The mood amongst our police community support officers is dismay and complete bewilderment that their numbers are being cut after being told how invaluable they are to neighbourhood policing.”

“They were gutted that that all of the progress they have made and the positive impact they have made over the last decade is at serious risk.”
