Three men have been arrested after a street fight in Sutton.

Officers attended Outram Street shortly after 10.20pm on Wednesday after receiving reports of a group of men fighting in the road.

Three men, aged 57, 38, and 24, were arrested on suspicion of affray and a screwdriver was later recovered from the scene.

Sergeant Kate Long, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This type of incident is very rare and will have caused considerable distress to anyone who witnessed it.

“This kind of violence is totally unacceptable and we’re keen to get to the bottom of what happened as soon as possible.

“We’ll also be patrolling the area in the near future to provide further reassurance to residents.”

She added: “We’re appealing for anyone who saw what happened in this incident to come forward by calling us on 101 and quoting incident number 846 of July 22.
