PC Simon Hardy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We take all reports of stolen property very seriously and will always do our best to recover it.

“In this case we had intelligence to suggest than a man was riding around on a stolen bike so officers had been asked to look out for it.

“We spotted the bike at Oak Tree Lane’s Tesco on Wednesday and immediately made an arrest.

“So if you recognise this bike then please get in touch so we can conclude our investigation.”
