Police targeted unruly off-road bikers during an operation at problem hotspots in Ashfield at the weekend.

Officers from the Kirkby Neighbourhood Team carried out patrols in areas close to Coxmoor and Hollinwell golf clubs as well as Annesley and Underwood on Sunday, April 11.

The operation led to two warnings issued to bikers who will have their machines seized if they are caught driving in an anti-social manner again in the next 12 months.

Another bike was seized from its owner for not being insured.

In a Facebook post, a police spokesman said: “We are listening and understand the fears, damage and the dangers these anti-social riders are causing, whilst zooming around on their off road motorbikes.

"Please continue to phone in information and details either using 101 or 999, depending on the severity of what is occurring.”
