Her mum Donna Snell said: “”Usually, Bethany hates anyone messing about with her hair, so I was very surprised when out of the blue she said Mum, can I cut off my hair for the Little Princess Trust? I have been trying to get her to cut her hair for about two years!

"I didn’t know where she had heard about it, and thought perhaps she will forget about it, but she is absolutely determined it is what she wants to do it

"She even wanted to give her upcoming birthday money to the charity but I said she should treat herself as she already has some sponsors.”

Donna added “The whole family is supporting her. I hope she will keep enough hair that she can still tie it back. She says she might like to have it coloured red so she can look like Jessie out of the Toy Story film!”
