Mansfield man threatened two police officers

A Mansfield man who threatened two police officers in the town has been fined and issued with a community order.

Daniel James Singleton appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 11 where he admitted using threatening words and behaviour against the officers – identified in court records as PC Drury and PC Bray.

Singleton had initially denied that charges, but changed his plea to guilty when he appeared before the court.

The incident took place on February 23 in Mill Street, Mansfield, against the two officers, court records show.

Singleton, 24, of Blake Crescent, Mansfield, was given a community order to run for 12 months and will include a total of 15 rehabilitation days with a member of the Probation Service.

He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £50 in prosecution costs and a £90 victim surcharge – totalling £260. He was given until July 9 to pay his balance.
