Mansfield teenager spared jail for violence and damage

A Notts teenager who assaulted three people and vandalised property has been spared immediate custody but faces the crown court on separate charges.

Connor Bower assaulted a man on Warsop High Street on July 21, then assaulted two police officers and damaged a window, on December 18, both last year.

He damaged a fridge freezer, an internal door and a window, on May 26, 2020.

Bower, 19, of Kirton Close, Meden Vale, Mansfield, admitted the offences at Nottingham Magistrates Court, on May 28 and June 4.

He was jailed for 26 weeks, but the sentence was suspended for 12 months. He must carry out 16 rehabilitation days with 100 hours of unpaid work, and pay £120 compensation.

Bower was also charged with unlawfully carrying away, threatening unlawful violence, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, alleged to have taken place in Warsop, on January 31.

He was given conditional bail to appear at Nottingham Crime Court on July 2.
