Man arrested after boy robbed in Mansfield park

Police have arrested a man after two robberies.

The first took place in Titchfield Park, Mansfield, shortly after 10.30am on August 4 when a group of three men are alleged to have pushed a 16-year-old boy from an electric scooter before stealing it.

The second took place at a property in Rosewood Drive, Kirkby, at around 9.45pm on Monday when a man is said to have forced his way inside before removing items.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of robbery after handing himself into Mansfield police station on Wednesday. He remains in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Robbery in an extremely serious crime that will always be investigated thoroughly.

“For that reason I still want to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident in Titchfield Park to call 101, quoting incident 214 of August 4.

"I am determined that the offenders are brought to justice.”
