When they checked the house in High Hazels Drive, a large cannabis grow was found to be inside.

The plants are in the process of being recovered and a scene is in place while officers conduct their enquiries.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Nick Butler, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was an excellent co-ordinated effort from officers in our response teams and control room.

“We acted quickly to respond to the concerns from a member of the public and arrest two men in connection with the disturbance.

“Checking the house as part of enquiries led to the find and we are now working to establish the circumstances of the cannabis grow. We have also upped patrols in the area to address any concerns from the public.

“Drugs have a devastating impact on communities and as a force, Nottinghamshire Police is committed to tackling drug crime and will investigate any reports of suspicious activity.

“We work closely with our local communities to gather intelligence and respond to any concerns from the public.

“I would encourage anyone who sees something suspicious to report it to Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or in an emergency, dial 999.”
