Culture, sport, restaurants, holidays, social gatherings and more have all been badly hit by the Covid-19 emergency, which means the calendar has been in shreds since March.
But there is much to look forward to in 2021 if, as is hoped, the roll-out of vaccines works effectively and public confidence grows.

1. Seeing a play at Mansfield Palace Theatre
Hopefully we will all the shouting 'he's behind you' again before too long - the Palace Theatre's 2021 pantomime is set to be Sleeping Beauty, running from November 27 to January 2. Photo: Rachel Atkins
2. Going to the beach in Mansfield town centre

3. Raise money for charity with your friends
This much-loved event was cancelled in 2020, but the Race for Life is a great way to have fun with your friends while raising money for Cancer Research UK. The Nottingham run is set to happen on June 20, 2021. Photo: Eric Gregory
4. Go to the light switch on
