Mansfield death toll rises to 92 as four more patients die from coronavirus

There have now been a total of 92 recorded deaths at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust , which runs King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton, Mansfield Community Hospital and Newark Hospital, an increase of four in the past 24 hours.

The patients’ families have been informed.

A further 445 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 19,746.

Patients were aged between 14 and 101 years old. 27 of the 445 patients (aged between 14 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

The Department for Health said delays in the length of time to confirm publicly a death of somebody testing positive for Covid-19 can occur for reasons such as an individual being tested post-mortem or difficulties in tracing and informing family members.
